How to Transfer 2FA (Google Authenticator) to a New Device

Step-by-step guide to safely transferring your 2FA codes to a new phone using Google Authenticator.

Switching phones? Here’s how to transfer your 2FA credentials:

  1. Open your 2FA app (Google Authenticator) on the old device

  2. Tap the three-dot menu → Select "Export accounts"

  3. Choose the accounts to move and tap Export

  4. A QR code will appear

  5. On your new phone, open Google Authenticator → tap "Import" and scan the QR

✅ Done! Your 2FA is now set up on the new device.
Make sure not to delete the old app until you're certain everything transferred correctly.
